Wheatley High School Classrooms
Desi Casanova
High School 2 Teacher (503) 262-4010 [email protected] Hello Everyone, I am Desi Casanova and I am the High School 2 Teacher at Wheatley School servicing 9-12th graders. I began working at Wheatley as a paraeducator and quickly found my passion for the school environment, behavioral health interventions, and academic instruction. Coming to Wheatley I found my passion for instructional based practices and decided to continue my higher education and begin my Masters in k-12 Special Education Teaching at Portland State University. My background working with this population comes from adult settings in group homes and transitional housing, and then work as a Registered Behavior Technician facilitating ABA therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum. My passion and drive for working with children and adolescents with multiple and complex disabilities continues to grow as I find my footing as a teacher and special education instructor. Truthfully I have found my life path and look forward to servicing Wheatley students for years to come! |
